Safety, Health & Licensing

At Horizon Daycare, the safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. As a licensed, 5-star quality rated facility, we meet and exceed state standards to provide families with confidence and peace of mind.

Our center follows strict safety procedures within a secure, well-maintained environment. We uphold high cleanliness standards and offer a safe, engaging outdoor space for daily play and exploration.

We believe in transparency, with licensing inspection reports available for families to review. Health records are updated annually to ensure all requirements are met and children remain safe and healthy.

To protect everyone in our care, children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning. In any emergency, our trained team responds quickly and appropriately, always putting your child’s safety first.

Key Highlights:

  • Licensed facility with accessible inspection reports
  • Annual health record updates
  • 24-hour symptom-free illness policy
  • Trained staff and emergency procedures in place

Nutrition & Meals

We provide nutritious meals and snacks daily to support each child’s growth and development. Meals are thoughtfully planned to meet CACFP nutrition guidelines, ensuring balanced and healthy options throughout the day.

We also incorporate nutrition education into our curriculum, helping children learn about healthy habits in a hands-on, age-appropriate way. For infants, families provide breast milk, formula, and baby food as needed.

We are happy to accommodate dietary needs and restrictions to ensure every child is well cared for.

Health & Illness Policy

Children must stay home if they have:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
